Canadian citizens are included in the category of citizens that could get entry visa (valid for 30 days stay) upon arrival in the airport. Please visit the below site for your further information -

No a Canadian citizen does not need a Dubai visa. Dubai airport does give a permit to go out for 96 hours but it is easily taken at the airport and if you are a Canadian citizen then it is no problem at all. but if you want to apply for a month.
