Requesting information on travel to dubai

Question: I joined a company in Oman on July 26th 2009 and my labor card is valid from the same date.
I wanted to visit Dubai for some personal purpose, and there seem to be some rule which states that i cannot exit Oman unless i complete 6 months here.
The PRO here is not very sure about it. Hense i wanted to clear it with you. Is there such an issue ? I am on Engineers Visa in this company.
Kindly requesting you to shed some light into the issue, If there is any helpful information on travel to Dubai that you can provide me.
