Re-entry with visit visa

Hi, I'm an Indian & was working for a company in Dubai. On a project basis i was deputed to India. After the completion of the project i resigned from from India itself and did not go back to uae. My residence Visa is expired as I've stayed in India for more than 6 months. Can I go to UAE on a visit / tourist visa?
