Parents Residence Visa to Dubai

My son got the Dubai permanent visa for us his parents now. My question is suppose the father wants to go back to India and do not want to return to Dubai after one year before renewal of the residency visa, will the mother be permitted to renew her residency visa to continue to live with her son? Or the visa of the mother will also be cancelled?
