Living in Dubai - Jobs, salaries, cost of living and quality of life?

I have heard only good things about Dubai and although a long shot I would like to consider living in Dubai. I am a Realtor and financial planner by trade. What can I expect to find for work, how much in u.s. dollars can be made annually and what's it like to actually live in Dubai?
