Do we need visa to land at Dubai airport while connecting to go to India

In my family two of us hold Canadian passports and one Indian who has a long time permanent resident's status. We will be traveling from Toronto to Hyderabad, India by Emirates Airlines. We are not staying in Dubai. We will be landing at the airport and transferring to a connecting flight to Hyderabad, India. Under the new rules are we required to have any visas at all? We never did before. Please advise.

Do I need Transit Visa to land at Dubai airport while connecting to go to India

Hi All,

Can any one help me whether I need a trasit Visa or not? I am travelling from USA to India through Emirates via Dubai. I have a connecting flight from Dubai air port and my US visa expired in 2009.

I know If am going through UK I need transit Visa but I am not sure about the Dubai.

Please let me know, if any knows about this.
