Do i need a transit visa if i never leave the airport, i have indonesian passport

My family are travelling to Indonesia and have booked with emirates via Dubai, we do not wish to visit Dubai unless thee is a division or accident , we just want to get our connecting flight within 4 hours and leave, is this a problem for British or Indonesian passport holders
