I am a Canadian girl and I lived in Dubai, and I was able to wear the same things that I wore back in Canada. Of course I used my discretion at first and I never really dressed provocatively back home.

Not very many people wear shorts, but capris, skirts (not too short), short sleeves, and some sleevless tops are fine!

in Dubai when in public you can wear shalwar kameez,jeans with a not too sexy top,you can also wear skirts but not very short,it should be either of knee length or just a little above it.You can also wear cargos or track suits and all.
